01. Purpose

These Terms govern access to and use of Monthly, a free personal finance planning application available at https://app.monthly.com.ar, including its website, installed experience, AI assistant and optional WhatsApp channel.

02. Acceptance

By using Monthly, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Mandatory consumer and data-protection rights in your jurisdiction remain unaffected.

03. Service

Monthly helps you record income, bills, instalments, recurring expenses, weekend reserves, investments and debt; view monthly history and bank promotions; receive optional notifications; export data; and obtain general AI guidance.

Monthly does not connect to your bank and is not a bank, regulated financial institution or licensed adviser. It does not execute payments, trades or transfers.

WhatsApp channel

You may optionally link WhatsApp to query your month and propose, correct or remove entries through text and guided menus. Monthly only sends service replies tied to a recent user-initiated message; it does not use this channel for campaigns or outbound templates.

04. Account and linking

You must provide accurate information, protect your authentication methods and notify us if you suspect unauthorised use. Sign-in may be provided by Clerk and Google under their own terms.

WhatsApp linking requires control of both your Monthly account and phone number. The one-time code expires after 15 minutes. Unlink the number from Settings if your device is lost, transferred or compromised.

05. Acceptable use

Monthly is for lawful personal finance organisation. You must not access another user's account, bypass safeguards or usage limits, disrupt the service, upload malware, scrape or resell Monthly, or use it to obtain or provide unlawful or regulated professional advice.

06. Your content

You retain ownership of the information you add. You grant Monthly a limited, non-exclusive and revocable permission to process it only as needed to provide, secure and maintain the service. We do not sell your financial data or use it for advertising.

You can request deletion or export as described in the Privacy Policy. Some narrow operational or audit records may remain for their stated retention period or when legally required.

07. AI and WhatsApp

AI output in the general Monthly assistant is guidance and may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Verify every result and consult a qualified professional for financial, investment, legal, accounting or tax decisions.

The WhatsApp channel interprets text and menu replies through deterministic rules inside Monthly. With permission, it can also read receipt images using local OCR. No WhatsApp text or image is sent to Gemini or another AI provider. Extraction only proposes structured data: Monthly validates every change, and receipt-derived changes always require confirmation. Only high-confidence text rules you explicitly enable in Smart mode may apply automatically. Review the amount, date, category and destination before confirming.

Receipt reading depends on permission, supported format and size, technical availability and sufficient confidence. Meta's free messaging capacity is checked separately. If a safeguard is missing, Monthly does not perform the affected operation, does not change the account and offers text or menus when a zero-cost reply remains available. Do not send passwords, bank credentials, card numbers, identity documents or unnecessary personal information.

AI connectors (MCP). You may voluntarily connect a third-party AI assistant to your account. A connected assistant can read your income, expenses, goals, debts and investments, analyse trends, create, edit or delete expenses, goals and payments, and undo changes. Data is shared with the provider you choose, under that provider’s terms and not Monthly’s.

You are responsible for the instructions you give your assistant and for reviewing what it does. Changes are audited and can be undone in the app, but we do not guarantee that an assistant will interpret your requests correctly. The connection token is stored hashed and you can revoke it at any time; if you lose or share it, revoke it immediately. We may limit or suspend connectors to protect the service.

08. Intellectual property

Monthly's software, design, brand and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the service under these Terms.

09. Availability and free-channel limits

Monthly is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free output or a minimum volume of WhatsApp replies.

To keep WhatsApp free, Monthly applies a shared global limit, checks the user-initiated service window and pauses the channel whenever zero cost cannot be verified. Provider rules and pricing can change. When a safe reply remains possible, the bot explains why an action is unavailable.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Monthly is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on AI guidance, inaccurate user-provided data, provider outages, unavailable optional features or unauthorised access outside our reasonable control. Nothing here excludes liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims arising from your unlawful use of Monthly or a material breach of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms when the product, providers or applicable rules change. Material updates will be communicated in the app, on this page or by email when appropriate, with a new effective date.

13. Termination

You may stop using Monthly and request account deletion at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for abuse, a security risk, a legal requirement or a material breach, subject to applicable law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. Courts in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires will have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer law grants you another forum.

Your use of WhatsApp also remains subject to WhatsApp and Meta's applicable terms.
